Attention Aspiring App Developers – Here’s how you can build apps for Apple

Build your own apps for iOS or iPadOS with Apple’s ‘Swift Playgrounds 4’

Go ahead and drop your jaw in awe because Apple’s latest Swift Playgrounds is now upon us.

Swift lets budding app developers submit their projects to Apple in the hope that one day the world will be using their apps.

Swift Playgrounds introduces programming to beginners by letting them control a helpful character named Byte.

Beginners learn basics like variables, commands, loops, and if-this-then-that operations. Everything is taught step by step, so you won’t be given more to ‘byte’ on than you can chew.

The code that is typed is reflected immediately on a side panel on the screen, allowing them to see the effects of their changes without delay.

Previous iterations of Swift Playgrounds have largely targeted children. They’re meant to teach raw beginners how to code through a series of colorful puzzles.

It never functioned as a standalone developer tool until now. After the introductory lesson, Swift Playgrounds 4 expands to more challenging assignments.

To submit your app to Apple you will need an Apple developer account, which costs $99 USD a year. But if you’re in school or college then you’ll get a free account.
