Apple’s New AirPods Pro Launched; May Soon Come To India

AirPods Pro is expected to arrive soon in India with a higher price tag of Rs. 24,990

 

The wait is over for Apple fans. Apple has launched the third-generation of its wireless earbuds AirPods -  AirPods Pro that boasts of several new features. The key highlight of AirPods 2 is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature. In the U.S the AirPods Pro will sell at $249. AirPods Pro is already available to order on apple.com and the Apple Store app and will be available starting Wednesday, October 30.

In India however, the prices quoted are bit higher. Apple AirPods Pro are priced at Rs 24,900 In India. The current-generation AirPods are priced at Rs 18,000 onwards. The wireless earbuds AirPods Pro are expected to arrive soon in India, with no exact date revealed.

AirPods Pro will ship with a wireless charging case and offer four-and-a-half hours of listening time on a single charge with active noise cancellation enabled, and up to 24 hours of listening time using additional charges from the case.

“AirPods are the best-selling headphones in the world. The one-tap setup experience, incredible sound and iconic design have made them a beloved Apple product, and with AirPods Pro, we’re taking the magic even further,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

“The new in-ear AirPods Pro sound amazing with Adaptive EQ, fit comfortably with flexible ear tips and have innovative active noise cancellation and transparency mode. We think customers are going to love this new addition to the AirPods family,” he added.

The new AirPods Pro comes with a new design and some quality features. The in-ear AirPods Pro is lightweight and comes bundled with three different sizes of soft, flexible silicone ear tips. Apple says that the silicone ear tips provide a comfortable fit and is capable of delivering an immersive sound experience to the users. The AirPods Pro is sweat- and water-resistant.

"The AirPods Pro uses two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to each individual ear and headphone fit." Apple claims that noise cancellation continuously adapts the sound signal 200 times per second. The Active Noise Cancellation feature helps remove background noise and provide a uniquely customized, superior noise-cancelling experience to the users, says Apple.

Its Transparency Mode provides users with "the option to simultaneously listen to music while still hearing the environment around them". This feature helps users while they are on the run or driving or stuck in traffic. Apple also allows users to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes. Users can switch between the two modes with the help of the force sensor feature. The force sensor also makes it easy for the users to play music, pause or skip tracks, pick calls and so on.

On the hardware front, the Apple AirPods Pro includes H1 chip that enables real-time noise cancellation and delivers high-quality sound using adaptive technology. The H1 chip also allows the AirPods Pro users to respond to hands-free "Hey Siri" requests.

AirPods Pro also comes with some other features like Ear Tip Fit Test, Voice-activated Siri, Audio Sharing, among others.
