The laptop also features stereo speakers and a retina display.

Along with the new iPad Pro, Apple also introduced an all-new MacBook Air. The laptop features significant design refinement. For starters, Apple has slimmed down the bezels around the screen. Seriously, this was long overdue. The latest iteration is also the first in the MacBook Air line-up to feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

The most affordable Retina-display Mac ever also includes an Apple-designed keyboard, a spacious Force Touch trackpad, faster SSDs, wide stereo sound, the Apple T2 Security Chip and Thunderbolt 3, making the new MacBook Air the perfect notebook to take with you everywhere you go.

The machine sports a 13.3-inch IPS screen with native resolution of 2560 x 1600. That's pixel density of around 227 ppi. The panel has aspect ratio of 16:9.

The new MacBook Air is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor. You can choose up to 16 GB of RAM. It uses SSD for internal storage, which can go up to 1.5 TB in capacity.

Apple has also squeezed in stereo speakers around the keyboard. As usual, the MacBook Air fetaures a spacious touhpad. The backlit keyboard is said to be the third-generation designed by Apple. let's just hope that it doesn't turn out to be a disaster we saw on the MacBook.

Apple claims that the laptop is made from recycled aluminum. On the software side of things, it will run macOS Mojave out-of-the-box.

Starting at $1,199, the new MacBook Air is available to order today in the US. It will start shipping on November 7. AT this point, there's no word on its release date in India.
