Computex 2012: Samsung Showcases Series 5 Ultra Touch And Ultra Convertible Ultrabooks

Both laptops feature a 13.3" touchscreen and Windows 8; no further info on detailed specs or release date.

After Acer and ASUS, it's now Samsung's turn to show off some interesting hardware at Computex 2012. The folks at Engadget.com spotted two Series 5 touch-based ultrabooks from the Korean manufacturer. One featuring a classic laptop is called the Ultra Touch, while another is named as the Ultra Convertible and can be folded in both directions.

Both laptops are based on Windows 8 and sport touchscreens with pixel dimensions of 1366x768. Other features include an HDMI port, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, ethernet (LAN), memory card reader, and an island-type keyboard. From the images though, it appears that the keys aren't backlit.

According to reports, Samsung hasn't provided any details about the CPU and RAM.

Information regarding the models's pricing and release dates were unavailable at the time of filing this report. If I've to guess, it won't cost less than Rs 70,000 for sure.
