Truecaller Service Now Available On Feature Phones In India

This new feature is announced to be an Airtel exclusive feature, and available only in India as of now.

Truecaller has recently announced that its service would be available on feature phones as well, exclusively in India, on Bharti Airtel’s network. This means that no Internet or application is required to actually use Truecaller, and is claimed by the company to be the first-of-its-kind service.

“This is the first-of-its-kind service that we are providing with Airtel in India. We want to work towards ensuring that more and more users are able to enjoy this service for now. “We will be happy to evaluate more options and markets at a later stage,” Truecaller CSO and Co-founder Nami Zarringhalam told PTI, according to a recent post published on BGR.

Adding further on how this feature works without an Internet, Zarringhalam has mentioned that users will be delivered a Flash SMS before the call would actually hit the user’s mobile.

Apparently, this is expected to be rolled out this month, and will most likely be a subscription-based model. According to Zarringhalam, the company is discussing about pricing and plans.
