Samsung Unveils Bixby Virtual Assistant Ahead Of Galaxy S8 Launch

Bixby is claimed by the company, to be capable of performing almost every task, using just touch commands.

We are just a few days away from what is supposed to be the biggest announcement by Samsung, the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. Well, in-fact, we have already come across a number of leaks, rumours, and reports, suggesting the flagship’s features and specifications.

However, the company’s very own voice-powered digital assistant ‘Bixby’ seems to be a common point in every such report. Now, the company has made it official, claiming it to be ‘a new way to interact with your phone’.

According to a recent post published on BGR, Samsung claims that Bixby is an ongoing result of the company’s effort to make machines learn and adapt to humans, instead of human learning how to adapt to a very mechanical way of life.

The company, according to the same post, has also revealed that it has “has employed artificial intelligence, reinforcing deep learning concepts to the core of our user interface designs. Bixby is the ongoing result of this effort.”

However, by the time Bixby is actually entering the market, we already know that it is a crowded place with Siri, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana, and Alexa in the competition.
