Xiaomi Launches Mi Smart Camera, Mi Router HD, Mi Walkie-Talkie, And More

All these new products are launched on Xiaomi’s Mijia crowdfunded platform.

 

Chinese technology company Xiaomi has recently launched six new products in its home products range; all being launched under the company’s very own crowdfunded platform called as Mijia in China.

Six new products launched include Mi Walkie-Talkie, Mi Driving Recorder, Mi Smart Camera, Mi Smart  Scale 2, Mi Router HD, and Mi Router Pro.

Speaking about these products, the Mi Walkie Talkie supports Ultra High Frequency and Very High Frequency bands, while a black and white LCD screen is present to give out the information. The walkie-talkie also supports FM Radio and Location sharing, and has a USB port for connectivity. The device is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery and is priced at CNY 249 which is roughly Rs 2,500. The walkie-talkie is usable in city as well as open fields.

Now, heading towards the Mi Driving Recorder, it is worth noting that the design and looks are pretty much similar to a GoPro camera and sports a Sony IMX323 image sensor with 160 degree wide-angle lens. Users can record clearly at night as well, with the Mstar 1080p chipset that’s found inside the driving recorder. It is available for a price tag of NCY 349 which is approximately Rs 3,400.

Mi Smart Camera features a 130 degree ultra wide angle lens and can record videos of 1080p resolution at around 20 fps. The camera also supports dual band WiFi, and is priced at around CNY 199. This roughly translates to Rs 2,000.

Well, not just this. The company’s Mi Smart Scale 2 comes with LED numerical display and is said to be capable of analysing 10 types of physical data including weight, BMI, muscle mass, basal metabolism, visceral fat grade, bone mass, water, body fat rate, body size, and body score. It is priced at CNY 199.

Also, if you had followed CES 2017 pretty well, then you may remember the Mi Router HD that was unveiled during the event by Xiaomi. Well, it’s now officially launched in two variants - HD and Pro. While the Mi Router HD is powered by Qualcomm IPQ8064 network processor, the Pro variant comes with MediaTek MT7621A. Both these routers feature 512 MB of DDR3 RAM and 256M SLC Nand Flash, while they come with USB 3.0, LAN, and WAN ports. The Mi Router HD comes at CNY 1,299 while the Mi Router Pro at CNY 499.
