Xiaomi May Launch Mi 6 With Snapdragon 835 SoC On April 16

The upcoming flagship may come in three variants, while the top-end may have ceramic body.

Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi seems to be all set to finally launch its much rumoured smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 6. Interestingly, it’s just a few weeks for the release date according to a new report, as published on The Indian Express. It is being said that the latest information has come from the Chinese-Based website MyDrivers.

While we know that Mi 6 has been anticipated for quite a long time now, the same report seems to have also mentioned that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor. Apparently, it is expected that the company would not be underclocking the processor, contrary to the rumours that have surfaced in the past suggesting that Xiaomi would under clock the processor on the upcoming flagship.

According to the report, it seems that the Xiaomi Mi 6 would be featuring a 5.2 inch LCD display with 2.5D curved glass, along with a 19 MP rear camera which is capable of capturing slow motion videos at 960 frames per second at 720p.

Additionally, it is being said that the upcoming flagship would be entering the market in three different variants: entry level with 4 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM, mid-end with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM, and top-end with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. It is also expected that the Mi 6 price tag would start from around CNY 1,999 which is roughly around Rs 19,399.

Having said this, rumours have also suggested that the top-end variant would be having a ceramic body as well, though we have to wait until further updates are rolled out from the company itself.
