MWC 2017: Meizu Unveils Super mCharge Fast Charging Technology

The company claims that you can charge a 3,000 mAh battery completely in just 20 minutes.

Chinese smartphone company Meizu has recently unveiled its latest fast charging solution, known as ‘Super mCharge’ at Mobile World Congress 2017, held in Barcelona, which the company claims to completely charge a 3,000 mAh battery in around 20 minutes of time.

In-fact, in a recently sent out press release, the company has mentioned that the Super mCharge technology will charge an empty battery completely in the same amount of time it takes to finish a cup of coffee.

Adding further, the press release explains, “Super mCharge adopts the Charge Pump Principle, applying only 2 groups of conversion circuits to directly output half of the voltage. This increases charging efficiency by 9 percent to 98 percent, and ensures stable performance during charging. With Super mCharge, battery temperature tops at 39°C (102.2°F) during charging, resulting in a safer and more reliable charging solution.”

The company has also added in the release that Super mCharge is both safe and durable. Meizu also boasts of a couple of tests that have shown a 3,000 mAh ATL battery retaining over 80 per cent capacity even after over 800 charge and discharge cycles. This is said to give the battery a life of more than two years.
