JBL Launches Four Speakers At CES 2017
Four speakers are JBL Pulse 3, Flip 4, BassPro Go, and Playlist.
Harman International has finally launched four new speakers at the CES 2017 event, namely, JBL Pulse 3, Flip 4, Playlist, and BassPro Go. All speakers are portable in nature and come with Bluetooth technology, except the ‘Playlist’ as it is a home speaker that also allows you to play audio using apps like Spotify or Pandora over WiFi.
The JBL Pulse 3 looks pretty much like a lava lamp and features a 360 degree lighting panel, that syncs lights to the music being played. The portable Bluetooth speaker comes with 3 drivers and dual passive radiators.
In-fact, this new speaker is said to be the improvised brother of Pulse 2, with IPX7 water resistance as well. You can also connect two smartphones at the same time, while another feature allows you to pair over 100 speakers that support JBL Connect+ application, and play the same song.
On the other hand, another speaker JBL Flip 4 features a rugged and water resistant design, with similar features like Pulse 3. But, you may not get the lighting system in this. However, you can connect two smartphones via Bluetooth, and it comes with same 12 hour battery life, as on Pulse 3.
Up next is another portable speaker dubbed as JBL BassPro Go, which also features a subwoofer. This speaker can be used in both cars and homes. According to the company’s claims, the JBL BassPro comes with an 8 inch subwoofer and you can play music via Bluetooth connection for around 15 hours, on a single charge.
Lastly, as we mentioned earlier, the JBL Playlist is a home speaker that is compatible with Chromecast, and interestingly, you can play music not only through Bluetooth, but also via WiFi connection. The company also claims that you can use it as an audio source for Google Home voice assistant device.
However, speaking about the pricing of these four new portable speakers, the Pulse 3 would be available for $199, while JBL Flip 4 and BassPro Go would be available for $99 and $599 respectively. And, for JBL Playlist, we may see a price tag of $149.
