Bose Unveils Its First Waterproof Speaker SoundLink Color II

Along with water-resistance, the wireless speaker also gets a design refresh.

 

Audio equipment company Bose has added a new member to its wireless portable speaker line-up. Dubbed as the SoundLink Color II, it company's first water-resistant speaker. It comes with a streamlined design, yet retains the durability of its predecessor. It also continues the bold colour affair with cyan and red to choose from. Of course, boring types can go with either black or white.



It comes with IPX4-rating for water-resistance to withstand pool splashes or spills. It is not meant to be submerged in water. Thanks to its soft-silicone exterior, it can also withstand and few drops and bumps. The speaker packs-in quite a punch with its passive radiators.



Integrated NFC technology offers touch-to-pair convenience, and set-up is fool-proof with plain-language voice-prompts. It features a built-in microphone for receiving calls. The lithium-ion battery will last for up to eight hours and is fully rechargeable via a USB port. it comes with Bose Connect app that makes it easier to switch between connected devices and other advanced tasks such as updating the software.
