Xiaomi Backed Yi’s Next Action Camera To Record 4K At 60fps

The next camera comes as a simple upgrade to the existing Yi 4K, with support to record 4K videos at 60 fps.

Xiaomi backed Yi Technology has recently announced that a new action camera capable of recording video in 4K would be unveiled at CES 2017.

Having said that, the GoPro competitor’s next action camera is definitely unique, as even the best camera in the market allows users to shoot in UHD footage at around 15 - 30 frames per second. However, dubbed as Yi 4K+, the camera is capable of shooting in 4K resolution at a speed of 60 frames per second.

Technically speaking, the new Yi 4K+ looks like a modest upgrade to the existing Yi 4K action camera, with support to capture videos at 4K resolution at double the frame rate of the original Yi 4K.

To recall, the Yi 4K was equipped with a 2.19 inch LCD touchscreen coupled with Gorilla Glass protection. The device also had a battery that offered around two hours of non-stop action and allowed you to stream it over WiFi connection.

Also, the Yi 4K camera featured a 12 MP Sony sensor with F2.8 aperture for photographs. The camera also came with dual microphones and was priced around $250, which roughly translates to Rs 17,000.
