Gionee Launches M2017 With 7,000 mAh Battery

The smartphone comes with a hefty price tag of CNY 6,999 for the base model.

 

Chinese smartphone company Gionee has finally launched its much rumoured smartphone with 7,000 mAh battery, the M2017. However, the smartphone seems to be rolled out only for the elite customers who can afford a hefty price of CNY 6,999. That is roughly Rs 68,400 in India.

Though this price tag comes for the base model, the one with Italian custom alligator leather back panel costs around CNY 16,999, which is Rs 1,66,000 in India.

While the smartphone is already up for pre-orders in China, we still are not sure whether the device will be available out of Chinese market region any time soon. However, the website is already showing up a popup message that the phone is no more available as they are ‘Fully Booked’.

Speaking about the technical specifications, the M2017 by Gone comes with two 3,500 mAh batteries totalling up to 7,000 may of battery capacity, while also supporting Quick Charge 3.0.

On the other hand, the smartphone features a dual SIM card tray, a 5.7 inch QHD AMOLED display with curved edges, octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and a dual camera arrangement on the rear with one 12 MP and another 13 MP sensor allowing users to zoom 2x optically. Also, users get an 8 MP camera in the front for selfies.

The smartphone comes with an inbuilt storage of 128 GB and weighs around 238 grams.
