This Device Helps You Digitize Your Business Cards

Coimbatore-based Velmayil Info services has introduced a device that can turn a business cards into a digital one. Dubbed as the Travelscan 860, the device comes with USB interface, 600 DPI resolution, 8-bit gradation. The machine is for those who don’t want to lose contacts if the card gets lost.



Its recognition capabilities are backed by a BCR software. It can identify English and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified Chinese). This ultra-compact business card scanner requires no batteries or external power adapter. The device claims to be a boon for those who require productivity, mobility and efficiency either in the office environment or on the road. To digitise a card, all you have to do is feed it to compact Travelscan 860. The details are then read by the BCR software and saved on to the connected device such as a laptop. The output format of the digital copy automatically creates fields like Name, address, city and more. The uploaded data can be exported to outlook or Microsoft Excel or even to a smart phone. The Travelscan 860 is priced at Rs 5050 excluding taxes.
