Uber Turns Your Friends Into Destinations

You no longer have to make multiple calls to keep up with any last minute change in meet-up plans.

Considering that most people take Uber to meet someone, the ride-hailing company has introduced a new feature to make things easier for you. Starting today, Uber will let you choose your friend as a destination. Of course, you need to have that person in your contact list. This means you no longer have to make multiple calls just to keep up with any last minute change in plans.

Here's how to use this feature: Sync your contacts with the Uber app. Type in a friend’s name in the 'Where to?' box. Your friend will receive a request from Uber to provide their current static location. Once he or she accepts the request, that person's location will be used as a destination. Uber will automatically share your ETA with your friend.

Along with this interesting feature, Uber has announced a gimmicky Snapchat tie-up. According to the app cab service, this new feature will let you "Snap while you ride. Gone are the days of toggling between apps. And now, you can have a little extra fun getting to that someone!" Oh, and did I tell you about the custom custom Uber filters? How exciting, right?
