Xiaomi Announces Nougat Update Rollout Plan
Update rollout for Xiaomi Mi 5 is underway now, while for other devices, we expect the update pretty soon.
It looks like Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi is all set to roll out an update based on Android Nougat, finally to a couple of its smartphones.
A recently published report on Gadgets 360 claim that Xiaomi officials have confirmed the rollout of the new update. And accordingly, Xiaomi Mi 4c, Mi 4S, and Mi Note will be receiving the update first. Later on, these devices will be followed by Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Mi 5s Plus, and Mi Max. It looks like the company has confirmed the same via its Weibo account.
The company has recently posted on Weibo stating that the beta testing for the Nougat update is in the process. However, no specific date for the rollout has yet been provided by the MIUI operations manager.
Speaking about the update, the Nougat based OS will be called the MIUI 9. To recall, this was leaked a while ago through an image that was spotted online.
However, to add on to this, Xiaomi Mi 5 has already received the Nougat based update.
