OnePlus 3T Receives First Incremental Update

The update is still based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and brings a couple of improvements in how the phone worked until now.

The recently launched OnePlus 3T has already started receiving its first incremental update, the OxygenOS 3.5.4. But sadly, the update is still based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and not Android Nougat. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 users have already started receiving the second beta build of Android 7.0 Nougat.

If you have recently bought OnePlus 3T and you are looking forward to have your hands on the Android 7.0 Nougat, you may have to wait some more, as the company has already promised OnePlus 3T users the Android 7.0 update maximum by the end of this month.

However, speaking about the smartphone’s first incremental update, it brings a couple of improvements in the phone’s operation. Especially, this update brings optimisations for T-Mobile US, better Bluetooth connectivity with cars, reduced lag when your phone is under 5 per cent, and overall system stability.

Along with this, the update fixes the flashlight issue in WhatsApp, and issues related to GPS and orientation preferences, and also a number of bug fixes have been integrated into the update.

As we said earlier, this is an incremental update, which means that OnePlus 3T users will be receiving the update in a gradual manner. Some may receive it today, some tomorrow, and so on, while a complete rollout will take place in a couple of days.
