Xiaomi Mi 5c Listed By Chinese Retailer Tmall

Though the listing displays technical specs as what we have known until now, it shows a crazy price tag of CNY 9,999!

 

While Xiaomi Mi 5c has been rumoured for quite some time now, almost all Xiaomi fans are looking forward for a confirmed official announcement. In-fact, it was expected to go official on Dec 6, but it didn’t turn out so.

However now there seems to be another ray of hope for Xiaomi fans as Chinese retailer Tmall recently listed out Mi 5c thereby confirming the previously known specs. However it is worth noting that the company has still not yet confirmed the Mi 5c’s existence.

Considering the recent listing, the Xiaomi Mi 5c comes with a metal body, powered by 2.2 GHz octa core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. It is also listed that the smartphone would be featuring a 1080p display.

Well, with this smartphone, it looks like Xiaomi is planning to get rid off plastic body, and instead, keep it only for the entry-level phones, according to a recent report on GSMArena.

However, if you can recall, earlier it was reported that Xiaomi Mi 5c would be coming in two different screen sizes. But, we are still not sure of that yet.

As per the Tmall listing, Xiaomi Mi 5c comes around at CNY 9999, which we feel crazy. But, according to what has been rumoured until now, the smartphone would be priced at CNY 1,500 or may be, even less than that.

Having said this, we can see that the listing has no proper image of the smartphone and the price tag is simply crazy. With this in mind, we are still left to wonder about the actual announcement of Xiaomi Mi 5c.
