Xiaomi Launches Mi Electric Scooter In China

The new Mi Electric Scooter comes with a foldable design and can go up to 25 kmph.

 

We all know Ninebot mini, a two-wheeled self-balancing scooter by Xiaomi. The Qicycle Electric Folding Bike, launched in July this year is quite popular as well.

The Chinese brand, mostly known for the smartphones, has stepped up the game in the electric vehicle category by launching the Mi Electric Scooter. In-fact, to recall, the bike was teased earlier last week, and now it’s launched on the company’s MIJIA crowd funding platform in its mother land, China.

The Mi Electric Scooter is made of aircraft grade aluminium alloy body and comes with a foldable design. Coming at a price tag of CNY 1,999, the electric scooter will be available for purchase starting Dec 15, and initially it will be sold only in China.

Adding more about the scooter’s technical details, it comes with a top speed of 25 kmph and sports a LG 1,850 EV-lithium ion battery with battery capacity of 280 Wh. The Mi Electric Scooter also comes with E-ABS anti-lock braking system along with a double disc braking system ensuring a smooth and quick halt when needed.

As we mentioned earlier, the scooter comes with foldable design allowing users to fold it with just the press of button. The Mi Electric Scooter takes 3 seconds to fold itself.

And as almost many electric scooter, the Mi Electric Scooter also allows users to connect it with your smartphone via Bluetooth. The Electric Scooter comes in White and Black color variants.
