Moto X Play May Be The Next Device To Get Nougat 7.1.1 Update

The smartphone has been spotted recently on GFXBench with Android Nougat running on it.

Do you remember the update roll out plans announced by Motorola back in October? Well, the Lenovo owned company seems to be stuck to its promised timeline of Android 7.0 Nougat update rollouts.

Just as mentioned earlier, Motorola has already released updates for both Moto Z and Moto G (4th Get) device. And now, it looks like Moto X Play is in the next-up position.

Though there is no official announcement yet, the Moto X Play with Android 7.0 Nougat running on it has been recently spotted on GFXbench, which pretty much hints at the possible public roll out soon.

However, theandroidsoul.com has recently listed out the Moto X Play would be receiving the Android 7.1 Nougat update, instead of the update 7.0. The report also states that the release date of the Nougat update for the Moto X Play is scheduled for early 2017. We may expect by the end of January, if this report is supposed to be true.

Apparently, while we are seeing the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update on Moto X Play, we may also expect the same update instead of the Nougat 7.0 to other devices as well, including Moto X Force, Moto X Pure, and Moto Z Play.

Adding further, other competitors including Sony and Samsung are having planning to roll out Android 7.1.1 Nougat directly to their devices in 2017, states the report.
