Meizu Introduces Its Latest Flagship Smartphone Pro 6 Plus In China

Features a Quad HD AMOLED screen and Samsung's Exynos 8890 chipset.

 

Meizu has its latest flagship smartphone Pro 6 Plus in China. The handset features a metal unibody design. Its home button packs-in a fingerprint sensor and heart rate detector. Meizu has sourced Samsung's Exynos 8890 SoC (System on Chip) to power its pro 6 Plus.
 
The phone features a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen. Much like Apple's force touch, Meizu's handset boasts of 3D press that perceives different levels of pressure on the screen. The Pro 6 Plus has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB internal storage.

 
The handset offers a 12-megapixel camera laser autofocus. For low-light photography, it also features a 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). For selfies, there's a 5-megapixel snapper.
 
In terms of connectivity, the Pro 6 Plus covers 4G VoLTE , Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and NFC. The phone also has an Infrared sensor that enables you to control your TV, music system, AC, and other appliances. The phone has a 3400 mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 that reportedly charges the phone up to 60 percent in 30 minutes.

 
On the software side of things, you get Android 6.0 with Meizu's Flyme OS on top. The 64 GB variant of the phone is priced at 2999 yuan (approx Rs 30,000). For the top model, you will have to spend 3299 yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 33,000. The handset will hit the stores in China on 23rd of December. At this point, there's no word on its global roll-out.
