Meizu Wants To Make 6 Great Again

The new teaser that is rolled out by the company hints about nothing except that '6' is involved in it. And, we feel it may be Flyme 6 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Chinese smartphone company Meizu has finally announced the release date of Flyme 6 via a couple of teasers, stating that the new operating system is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The company teases that the new OS will be launched on Nov 30 at a special event held by Meizu in China.

While Weibo is flooded by a number of teasers for the Flyme 6 OS, nothing much is actually revealed by them. What we can expect so far is that, the company is definitely trying to make something big, as the teasers state 'Make 6 Great Again'.

Speaking about Flyme OS, it is Meizu's very own Android skin that is usually incorporated on top of Android by the company in every phone launched thus far. Also, to refresh your minds, Flyme 5 was based on both Android 5.1 Lollipop and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Having said this, Android Headlines reports about the Meizu X being rumoured to launch on the same date as well, especially because of the teaser that read 'Make Helio Great again' a few days ago.

However, if you go through these teasers by Meizu, we can see that the company has not even mentioned about the launch of the Flyme 6 operating system. But, since Meizu Pro 6 and Meizu Pro 6s are already launched, and the teaser clearly showcased the number '6', we expect it to be Flyme 6 OS. We will have to wait for a week more to actually know what the company is actually looking forward to make great once again!
