Facebook To Help You Find Public WiFi Hotspots

This feature is currently being reported by a few iOS users, and for Android users, we may still have to wait.

It is being reported by a few users and online forums that they are able to find nearby WiFi hotspots through Facebook’s very own iOS application. Yes. This seems to be true. The social media giant seems to be working on this new feature that helps users find a nearby public WiFi hotspot that they can actually access for free.

While this was originally spotted by TheNextWeb, it looks like a spokesperson from Facebook has confirmed the new feature as still being in the experimental mode to VentureBeat. This feature, which is claimed to work in association with nearby places, definitely helps users to stay connected with their friends.

Also, TheNextWeb reports that this new feature may take Facebook LIVE even further as a strong internet connection may help people in having better quality of real-time sharing of information, news, and video content via its LIVE feature.

However, we still have no information if this feature is being experimented on Android as well. Having said this, the feature is still not available for every iOS user as it is being worked out yet by the social media giant.
