Get Ready For In-Cab Entertainment With Ola Play

Soon you will be able to enjoy your favourite music and videos in cabs.

 

Uber's biggest rival in the country, Ola has unveiled its Ola Play in-car entertainment system. This new service will let passengers control music playback and even air conditioning system.



Ola has joined hands with the American chip-maker Qualcomm for the technology aspect. The app cab provider has collaborated with Mahindra & Mahindra to integrate these new features in cars. What's more, the company has embedded Apple and Sony's music streaming services. This will enable riders to control music right from the app. The arrangement of screen will be similar to that of the ones in aircrafts. Among other things, you will also get access to music finder app Audio Compass and fashion shopping service Fynd. Ola's entertainment system will be open for third-party developers. Needless to say, you can expect more apps in the future.

Starting this week, Ola Play service will be made available to Ola Select subscribers in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Within a week, it will be rolled out to all Ola Prime riders in metros. According to the company, the goal is to offer Ola Play across all its cars.
