Alcatel Launches Idol 4S That Runs On Windows 10 Mobile

The new variant comes with bumped up features as well, while the pricing is around INR 31,500.


Alcatel has recently announced the launch of a new smartphone, which is a Windows 10 Mobile variant of the Idol 4S Android smartphone that was launched earlier this year at MWC.

Being exclusive to T-Mobile in the US, the smartphone comes in at around USD 469.99 which is roughly around INR 31,500, and is said to be available for purchase starting Nov 10. The smartphone is also said to be featuring a bundled VR Goggle inside its box.

Technically speaking, the Alcatel Idol 4S (Windows 10) comes with a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display instead of a QHD display that was seen on the Android variant. Also, the new smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM under the hood.

Also, the Windows 10 Mobile based smartphone comes with an upgraded 21 MP rear camera and 8 MP front facing camera, instead of a 16 MP rear and 8 MP front camera modules in the previous Android variant.

The smartphone also comes with Quick Charge v 2.0 that is capable of charging the device within 95 minutes. Users also get a 3,000 mAh battery.

On the connectivity options, the smartphone comes with 4G LTE, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS< and Micro USB. The smartphone also comes with an all-glass body with gold metallic edges.
