Xiaomi And Its Bendable Smartphone: Is It So?

While LG and Samsung have been announcing about their flexible display screens, it looks like Xiaomi has silenty stepped ahead.

The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is recently seen indulging in introducing a number of smart home products as well, right from Mi Air Purifier and Mi Set Top Box, along with even Mi Mosquito Repeller.

And smartphones seem to have become child's play for the company. They even forayed into laptops with a much more similar design, competing against MacBook Air. However, bendable smartphone seems to be the company's next destination.

While the concept has been lying around in many YouTube videos through rough sketches and diagrams, a recently leaked video on Youku clearly shows a smartphone being bent in his palm. And, if you observe a little more, the smartphone seems to be running on Xiaomi's MIUI operating.

However, if you actually watch the video, the title seems to be more convincing to us by clearly mentioning that the Millet Note 2 (Mi Note 2) comes with a flexible screen. In-fact, this strengthens the theory of bendable smartphones being made by Xiaomi. Also, if we just go around a few days in past, we witnessed speculations surfaced online that claimed Mi Note 2 to be the costliest smartphone by Xiaomi so far. If at all we can link everything, and they all turn out to be true, there is no wonder in Xiaomi selling the Mi Note 2 at around CNY 800.
