Samsung Galaxy A8 Surfaces With 64 GB ROM In AnTuTu Benchmark

A lot of leaks of late have pointed towards similar specifications, and with the AnTuTu listing, it actually stands a chance to reveal what's in it.

Though Samsung is making more negative press due to the Note 7 battery explosions, not all of it’s products are doing as bad. Something like the Galaxy A8 is actually still gathering increasing interest by the day, and could actually be a good ploy to be revealed publicly, till the Note 7 matters get settled down.

The A8 (2016 edition) has been certified by the FCC and Bluetooth SIG, and also been spotted with GFXBench and Geekbench databases, with similar estimates, which are just about as realistic as they get. With the AntuTu listing, one might even get to know more about the inner workings, hence officially revealing the device may not be such a bad idea.

According to details revealed by AnTuTu, the A8 has an 8MP camera ( a surprising downgrade), coupled with a Full-HD display, a 5MP selfie snapper, the Exynos 7420 processor, and the upgraded 64 GB storage and 3GB of RAM. Though the camera could be speculated upon, the storage upgrade could be a welcome addition, but the final specs will truly be known only when Samsung comes out with the official specs. Even the last year’s edition had a 16MP rear shooter, so it would be a travesty if it is downgraded from there, but the other features look attractive and feasible to work with.

In terms of storage expansion, there will be a microSD card slot for extra storage capabilities, but then the speculation remains, whether the slots will be a hybrid slot or dedicated dual SIM on the A8. In terms of the screen itself, the phablet has the familiar 5.7-inch face, which was there in the edition last year.
