IFA 2016 : Asus Showcases Zenpad 3S 10 Tablet And Zenscreen Monitor

Portability and slim form factor main highlights of both the products launched at the event.

 

Asus is catching up on the IFA 2016 frenzy, by launching a couple of products, both of which sport very slim and portability as their highlights. The main is the Asus Zenpad 3S 10 tablet, which is a 9.7-inch widescreen device with QXGA (2048x1536 pixels) resolution, and 7.15mm thickness (thickest part) and Tru2Life for better viewing capabilities. Zen Screen on the other hand, is a product targeted towards business professionals, who can complete tasks on the go. The accompanying stand of the device also doubles up as a smart case for carrying the device.

Asus has generally been known to create rather slim devices, so the Zenpad 3S 10 is not a total surprise, but very aesthetically appealing for it's form factor. Since the device has been revealed at the pre-IFA 2016 festivities, not much has yet been said, but from available information, it has been derived that the engine inside includes a hexa-core MediaTek MT8176 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card. Then there is the fingerprint scanner on the home button, and a 10 Whr battery, and support for Quick Charge 3.0 for quicker power addition while charging. As per company claims, the tablet has 5-magnet stereo speakers dishing 7.1 level surround sound. The price for the tablet is said to be around Rs 28,300 (EUR 379).

The other device is the 15.6-inch Zenscreen targeted as on-the-move business professionals. The weight of the screen is less than a kilogram, and is 8mm thick, with capabilities of full-HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. In case one wants to plug the device in, there is a Type-C USB port for power and video transmission. The pricing for the devices is pegged at around Rs 20,100 (EUR 269).
