Coolpad Mega Gets Over 5 Lakh Registrations On Amazon

More than 50,000 handsets are expected to be delivered on the flash sale on Aug 24.

 

After much fanfare on August 10 for the launch of the Coolpad Mega 2.5D handset, the company is reaping the benefits by having 500,000 registrations for the device on Amazon, the exclusive retailer for the device. The first flash sale of the 2.5D Mega handset will take place on August 24, where the company expects that atleast 50,000 units of the Rs 6,999 handset will be sold off.

Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India spoke of this landmark, saying, “We are humbled by this overwhelming response and crossing the half million registration mark in such a short time. The users have displayed immense faith in Coolpad and we are ready to deliver on their expectations. We thank our fans for helping us cross the half million registrations mark and believe that Coolpad is a force to reckon with and I am sure of Coolpad Mega garnering a favorable response like all its predecessors."

He also added, "We are confident that we will sell 50 K phones in our first flash sale on 24 August, 2016, and after seeing this phenomenal response by our customers and crossing the half million mark we are even more certain of it.”

As a recap of what the device is all about, it includes a  2.5D curved screen with 5.5-inch IPS LCD HD (1280 x 720 pixel) resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P Quad-core processor clocks at 1.0 GHz paired with Mali-T720 GPU.

The device runs on the latest CoolUI 8.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It supports dual SIM dual standby with VOLTE support and offers 4G LTE network. The device is measured by 7.85 mm of thickness and is the weight around 140 grams.
