Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Arrives In India

The phablet is priced at INR 59,900 and comes with a Jio 4G SIM preview offer for 90 days.

 

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been launched in India at INR 59,900 and the company has announced that pre-bookings will begin from August 22 and at a special price of INR 1,990 customers can purchase the new Gear VR headset with the flagship phablet. Samsung Gear VR if bought separately would cost you  INR 7,290.

The Korean tech giant launched Samsung Galaxy Note 7 globally on August 2, and became the  first Samsung smartphone to feature an Iris scanner, which is one of the key features of the device.

The Galaxy Note 7 will feature the Jio 4G SIM preview offer in India, that offers users voice, data, and SMS free for 90 days. Along with the launch of the flagship phablet, the company also unveiled the new Samsung Gear VR, Gear IconX wireless earbud and Gear Fit 2. Samsung Gear Fit 2 and IconX wireless earbuds are priced at INR 13,990 and INR 13,490 respectively.

The device features the new S Pen 0.7mm tip and improved pressure sensitivity provides a real pen-like experience. The device also features Samsung Knox for advanced security and privacy of users backed by biometric authentication, including fingerprint scanner and iris scanning technology.

The other specifications include a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The device sports a  5.7” Quad HD AMOLED display and a 3,500 mAh battery. The device has a 4GB RAM and an in-built memory of 64GB and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). The compatibility of the VR Gear includes USB Type-C and Micro USB port connection to the Galaxy Note 7, S7, S7 edge, Note 5, S6, S6 edge, S6 edge plus.
