Roposo And Uber Partner For 'Photoshoot-On-Demand' Campaign

This is a 4-hour campaign in Ahmedabad, where photographers and fashion enthusiasts come together for a unique brand awareness drive.

 

Roposo, the new age fashion social network, has joined hands with Uber for a unique brand awareness campaign in the city of Ahmedabad. The event is to be held on August 6 and is aimed at bringing together photographers and fashion enthusiasts to generate awareness about the Roposo brand and also connect more personally with potential customers of the site. Uber is obviously the logistics partner who will be responsible for picking up the select entrants to the events and dropping them post-event.

The campaign will be active for a 4-hour window from 1.00 PM to 5.00 PM. Riders will be able to decide on being a part of the campaign through the Uber app itself. The lucky participants will be picked by Uber from their location and will be driven to the location of the shoot. Once the shoot is done, participants will also be dropped back to their homes in an Uber.

Explaining the idea behind the campaign, Avinash Saxena, co-founder of Roposo said, “At Roposo, we are always looking at new and engaging ways to touch a chord with our target markets. In an innovative twist, we are bringing together two of our most active communities i.e. fashionistas and photographers. While the former get a lifestyle photoshoot for free, the latter get a chance to showcase their talent. Furthermore, we believe that our association with a widely-accepted brand such as Uber will add to the campaign’s success quotient.” With him on the occasion was Viral Jhaveri, the General Manager of Uber Ahmedabad, who said “Uber Ahmedabad has completed two-years and as a part of our anniversary celebrations we’re excited to partner with Roposo to give our riders an opportunity to get a photoshoot done on-demand, and celebrate this special day with us. Roposo has fast grown to become the country’s favourite fashion social network and we are pleased to partner with them for this fun-filled campaign. Roposo and Uber are a perfect synergistic match and we look forward to more such exciting tie-ups in the future.”

The pre-event contest will pick the best fashionistas at the venue and will be held on the online platform of Roposo called #UberRoposo. The publicity, as one can guess, will be done through channels like the Roposo website, push notifications, emails, and social media. The main event itself will be promoted by Uber through its multiple communication channels such as the newsroom blog, social media, SMS, e-mail, splash screen on the app. The photoshoot will be targeted towards the youth that are tech-savvy, where they will be clicked indulging in day-to-tasks at the venue.

Ahmedabad is selected as the location to launch the campaign because it is crucial for future business prospects of both Uber and Roposo as the fastest growing marke. For this reason, the first time riders of Uber can also use the promotional code 'ROPOSO', which can be used countrywide by users of the app.
