Yu Teases New Smartphone; Looks Sturdy Enough

Rahul Sharma slams the smartphone with a big hammer; atleast that's what the video shows.

 

After unveiling the Yu Yureka Note phablet at INR 13,499 recently, the Micromax subsidiary Yu has raised its voice once again via the company's official forum.

The recent post by Rahul Sharma himself teases a new smartphone that is expected to be launched pretty soon. In the post, Rahul claims that the upcoming device is nothing short of incredible, and also, according to him, the device is expected to break the flagships.

The post also carries with it a video which shows Rahul Sharma breaking a model of a ship (placed on top of the new smartphone) using a big hammer. The video clearly defines the strength of the smartphone and nothing else as of now.

Recently, a Yu mid-range smartphone was spotted in a Geekbench benchmark listing, giving us some insights about the technical specifications of the smartphone.

Accordingly, the smartphone is expected to feature an octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, and 4 GB RAM.

Considering both video and the Geekbench leak, we can easily expect that the smartphone being launched this month may be the Yu5530.
