Twitter Experiments With The Format Of Its Timeline

Recently, Twitter also revamped the way images are displayed and also earlier, Twitter replaced 'Star' with a 'Heart'.

It has not even been a day or two since we witnessed Twitter displaying large images instead of the cropped up ones and also revamping the way multiple images were displayed.

Today, the company has announced that it is experiment with the timeline testing over different formats for its tweets.

Accordingly, Twitter has recently revamped the timeline by relevance instead of the usual reverse chronological order.

This move by the micro-blogging platform seems to be a way to increase the user engagement by the newly appointed Chief Executive Jack Dorsey as the company is facing a slowing user growth.

While recently, the sorting out of the tweets on the timeline has been changed in the order of relevance, most of the users actually tweeted back to Twitter showing their discontent.

To recall, Facebook had changed the format of its timeline back in 2012, much similar to what Twitter is working on now - in the order of relevance.
