Yu Postpones Yutopia Launch Event To Dec 17

Rahul Sharma has tweeted that the company has plans of announcing something special during the event.

 

While recently Yu announced about its smartphone launch event on Dec 7, it looks like the company has postponed the event for Dec 17.

The announcement came in yesterday, Dec 2, when the company co-founder and CEO, Rahul Sharma tweeted that they have something special to announce along with the Yutopia.

While we now know that the company has something special in the queue to be unveiled, we still are not clear whether it is an accessory or yet another smartphone itself.

As we have already told, we are yet to know the actual features that come with the smartphone. But, so far, what we know is that, it is made up of a metal body while a massive battery is likely to power the device.

Recently, Cyanogen Inc has also confirmed that the Yu Yutopia will be running on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

However, the rumoured specifications include 5.2 inch Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa core 64 bit processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 21 MP rear camera with LED flash, 8 MP front facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity.

While the YU fans were all happy to know that the launch event was nearing, we now have to wait until Dec 17 to know the actual features of the smartphone along with the pricing details.
