Twitter Rolls Out 'Diya' Emoji To Celebrate The Festival Of Lights

Recently, the company also rolled out the Make In India emoji with a lion in black color and orange background supporting the initiative by GOI.

Twitter has rolled out a special emoji of a diya (lamp) to signify the glory of the festival of lights which is popular across the nation.

The micro-blogging site has announced that the lamp emoji will be automatically added right next to the hashtag #HappyDiwali. However, it is worth noting that the emoji will not be appearing before you actually sent the tweet.

It is also being said that the emoji is also associated with Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor's new movie which is set to be released this festive season.

Having said this, this is actually the first ever emoji by Twitter dedicated for the festival of lights.

To recall, recently, Twitter also rolled out the 'Make in India' emoji which seems to be supportive to the initiative launched by the Government of India.

It looks like the micro blogging platform is on a spree to attract more and more Indian users by rolling out India related event-specific emojis.
