DTC Buses To Get CCTV Cameras and WiFi Facility By December

The government is in talks with a number of popular Internet and Telecom companies to make its dream project a reality.

In a recent move, the Delhi government has announced that CCTV cameras would be installed to provide more security for commuters who travel in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses.

Along with this, the government has also added that it will be providing WiFi facility in DTC buses, which definitely seems to be a pretty decent move towards the Digital India initiative spearheaded by the Prime Minister.

It is also being said that the government is in touch with a couple of leading Internet and telecom companies like Google, Facebook and Ericsson.

Also, the Kejriwal led-Delhi government has emphasized that it is looking forward to fulfill its ambitious project of providing free city-wide WiFi Internet.

Adding more about the WiFi service that would be provided in the DTC buses, the government has further announced that the WiFi service would be free for some time after which commuters will have to pay according to their usage.

However, we still aren't sure about the initial free period for the WiFi Internet.

It is also being said that during the first phase, commuters will be able to experience the WiFi facility and CCTV camera in some DTC buses including AC and non-AC low floor buses.
