OneNote

Here's the Microsoft's version of EverNote. What makes it special though is its seamless Office integration. Since the app is available on most platforms, your notes travel with you. It offers all the fonts and formatting styles you'd expect from a note-taking app. You can scan documents using your phone’s camera and they will be auto cropped and enhanced. Oh yes, you can make audio and video notes for your lectures. That's a bit too much if you ask me.

If you're using Google services, this is the perfect note-taking app for you. The software allows you to create text, voice, and voice notes. Everything you add is instantly available across all Google services (hopefully, not on search). A cool feature here allows you to add location specific reminders. For instance, Keep reminds you of your grocery list when you walk into your favourite grocery store (using Google Maps).
