Micromax Launches 8 Inch Affordable Canvas Tab P690

The pocket friendly tablet comes with a 4th gen Intel Atom processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM.

 

Homegrown mobile maker Micromax has recently launched its yet another affordable tablet dubbed as the Canvas Tab P690.

With a price tag of Rs 8,999, the Canvas Tab P690 is said to be powered by an 1.8 GHz quad-core 4th gen Intel Atom processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal space.

Sporting an 8 inch HD display, the tablet seems to be on the lines of its cousin P650 launched in 2013.

However, the tablet runs of Android 4.4 KitKat OS and is expected to upgrade the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system at the earliest.

Speaking about the other technical specs of the pocket friendly tablet, it is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery which the company claims to offer a battery life of more than 180 hours on stand by mode.

The 3G enabled Canvas Tab P690 comes with a 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera along with Quicklook, voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls and smart contact prioritizations.

The tablet is also preloaded with Facebook, Saavn, NewsHunt, Swift Key and WPS Office. It comes with Wi-Fi Connectivity, Bluetooth and USB support.

The tablet is said to be available at all leading retail stores and online stores across the country from June 7.
