YotaPhone Price Cuts Down To Rs 6,999

The dual screen smartphone seems to have not made an impression mark among the Indian consumers.

It looks like YotaPhone has not been lucky enough to roar in the Indian mobile consumer market.

The Russian modem developer Yota Devices has once again slashed its YotaPhone's price to as low as 6,999.

It is worth noting that the YotaPhone was initially launched in India with a price tag of Rs 23,499 in Oct 2014.

Even though the smartphone comes with a unique technology of dual screen, it seems that it could not appeal much of the Indian audience.

However, this is not the first time the company is slashing the price of the smartphone. It has been reduced a couple of times with recent one being reduced to Rs 8,999 from its original price and now further reduced to Rs 6,999 for the 32 GB version.

This drastic change clearly shows us that either the company is making way for its new smartphone YotaPhone 2 with more improvements or to empty its inventory.

Coming to the specifications of the smartphone, it comes with LCD screen on one side and an electronic paper display designed to mimic the appearances of ordinary ink on paper which is always switched on.

The YotaPhone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and powered by a 1.7 GHz dual core processor, 2 GB RAM and 1,800 mAh battery. The phone also has a 13 MP camera.
