Celkon Launches Campus A518 At Rs 4,500

Indian mobile maker Celkon has launched a new budget Campus series smartphone in India on Tuesday.

Dubbed as Campus A518, the smartphone is available in all retail stores through out India at Rs 4,500. However, there seems to be no official announcement as to whether the smartphone will also be available online or not.

The Campus A518 is a dual SIM smartphone which runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The device comes with a 5 inch display, 512 MB RAM, 1 GHz single core processor and 4 GB in-built storage space.

Considering the price of the device, these specifications look to be pretty decent, however, they are pretty old-school in this generation of quad-core and octa core processors and 1 GB RAM.

The device sports a 3.2 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. Also, on the connectivity front, the Celkon Campus A518 offers 3G, WiFi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth options.

Apart from these, the smartphone packs a 2000 mAh battery and comes in White and Dark Blue colour variants.

With this smartphone, it looks like the company is targeting the first timers and also attracting many users with big screen and small price.
