Lava Launches Iris X1 Atom Below Rs 5,000

The budget smartphone with decent features is expected to go on sales next week.

Lava, known for its budget oriented smartphones and great specifications, has come up with a new smartphone dubbed the Iris X1 Atom.

Priced at Rs 4,444, the smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4 OS which is upgradable to Lollipop. This is definitely a key point with price being considered.

The smartphone comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 512 MB RAM with 4 GB internal memory which may not be the best specifications out there in the market.

Along side, it comes equipped with a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera which positions the phone against Intex Aqua Y2 Remote which comes with almost similar specifications.

If you are more into apps and games, then Lava Iris X1 would definitely take your heart away with its quad-core processor unlike the dual-core processor of Intex Aqua Y2 Remote.

However, on the negative side, we believe the VGA front camera is a big off when it comes to capturing selfies.

Coming to the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 3G, dual SIM, bluetooth, WiFi and micro-USB.

And to support all these functions of the smartphone, it comes backed with 1,750 mAh battery which we believe to be sufficient enough for the budget oriented smartphone.
