Digital Musical Instrument For Your iPhone And iPad

This device converts your smartphone into either a guitar, piano, violin or a bass.

Finally, it looks like there is a good news for all the musicians or music enthusiasts.

Artiphon, a startup company which had unveiled its new gadget dubbed as the "Instrument 1" during the CES is now getting ready to bring the device to the public.

The device which was crowd funded via Kickstarter is able to product the sounds of a guitar, piano, violin and a bass.

It is purely an electronic instrument which needs to be hooked up with iPhones and iPads and the output sounds are based upon the MIDI app running on the device.

The device more or less looks like a fret board of a guitar and is made up of digital strings and keys.

The Instrument 1 comes with in-built speakers and some buttons through which the whole device can be programmed.

The device's body also has a bridge, volume knob and instrument presets.

Artiphon also seems to be developing an app in support of the Instrument 1 so that both would work hand in hand.

However, there seems to be no exact details about the price of the device but it is expected to be available above Rs 15,000.

The price seems to be considerably high but keeping in mind the good things this device can help a musician, it seems to be worthy enough to invest in.

So, if you are a musician who is on a lookout to either perform on-the-go or work on your songs while you travel, then this device is aptly made for you.
