Motorola has announced its most affordable Moto E (2nd Gen) smartphone.

The smartphone which is available in both 3G and 4G versions is believed to launch the phone in fifty countries starting with the USA.

We believe that by the time the phone is available in India, the price would be somewhere around Rs.7,000 for the 3G version and Rs.9,000 for the 4G LTE version.

The new Moto E runs on Android Lollipop and the company is also bringing personalised software experiences from Moto X to the budget Moto E

The smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The device comes with 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and a 400MHz Adreno 306 GPU.

The phone features 8GB internal storage space and 1GB of RAM.

Motorola is quite boasting about the 2390mAh battery which the company believes to last for a full day.

Also, the device has 5MP rear camera with autofocus and 720p video recording capabilities. However, the device has a VGA camera which will be leaving the selfie buffs a little disappointed.

The storage space can be expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.

The device comes with other connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio and Micro USB.

Moto E 2nd Gen will be featuring an option of choosing from interchangeable Motorola Bands and Grip Shells.
