India To Get Limited Edition Of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

It is likely to be priced a bit higher than the Galaxy S4

For all those who have been waiting to lay their hands on the feature-rich Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge, this is some good news as the limited edition smartphone will be launched in India.

The subcontinent has been named in the list of few handful countries and is likely to get the SM-N915G model, according to sammobile. There were indications earlier that Samsung may not release the phone in Europe, but the recent list shows up a number of European countries.

Like the Note 4, the Note Edge has a Quad-HD screen (1,600×2,560 pixels), a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage space, a microSD slot with 64 GB support, 16 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and a 3.7 megapixel front camera.

The SM-N915F model will be sold in Russia and Kazakhstan. The rest of Europe, which includes Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, France, Nordic countries, Austria and Portugal will receive SM-N915FY model.

Meanwhile India, Australia, Singapore and Nepal will get SM-N915G.

It is priced $946 off contract in US, which converts to around Rs. 58,000 and is almost the same price as that of Galaxy S4. In Europe it is expected to be priced around 899 Euros, which is around Rs. 68,000.

Considering that Edge would be priced a bit higher that the S4, it would be prudent to draw a conclusion that the price would be closer to the European price.

Meanwhile, there are also suggestions that barring the curved display that offers users easy access to the apps, there isn’t much to differentiate it from the S4.
