MSI Launches Its GS60 Series Of Gaming Laptops In India At Rs 1,16,253

The laptop will be available in three different configurations and sold exclusively through Flipkart

 

Taiwanese electronics brand MSI has launched its GS60 Ghost Pro series gaming laptops, which will be sold exclusively via e-commerce giant Flipkart at a starting price of Rs 1,16,253. The company claims the 15-inch gaming laptop is the thinnest and lightest in the world and is available in three configurations in India.

The MSI GS60 is powered by Intel's 4th generation core i7 processor, clocked at 2.5GHz with TurboBoost up to 3.5GHz. The device also features a Full HD 15.6-inch display with wide viewing angles, and all that hardware is housed in a black magnesium-alloy chassis.

In keeping with its target audience of gamers, MSI has outfitted the GS60 series of laptops with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 870/860/850M graphic cards depending on the variant. The GTX 870M is the top of the line graphic card featuring 3GB of DDR5 Memory, while the GTX 860M and 850M cards come with 2GB of DDR5 and DDR3 memory respectively.

The laptop also comes with up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, but only the top of the line variant gets the full sprinkling of RAM, the other two come with 8GB as standard. All three variants also come with a 1TB hard drive, while the high-end variant also gets a 128GB SSD.

The MSI GS60 runs on the 64-bit version of Microsoft's Windows 8, is powered by a 6-cell Li-polymer battery and weighs in at 1.96 kg.
