Android 4.4.3 Dialer App UI Leaked; Shows A Colourful Future For Android

Google seems to be bringing colour back to Android after going Black with Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread.

A leaked screenshot of what is supposed to be Android 4.4.3 running on a Nexus 5 has surfaced once again. Last time around we got a glimpse of the contact page which indicated a pastel Blue colour for banners. Now it seems like Google will be sticking to that design theme for its upcoming version of Android.

From the leaked screenshot we can see that Google seems to have gone the Gmail way by assigning letters in colourful blocks. These blocks certainly look a bit too big and seem to waste a lot of space but are simply replacements for a contact’s photograph if it is missing.

Right now we are just glad that Google didn’t apply the extremely vibrant colours that are found on Apple’s iOS 7 or even the ones that are found in Google’s Keep app.  We guess there are a lot more improvements on the way for Google’s next big Android update including some new iconography that had leaked earlier.

Google has come a long way from the Green Froyo to the Neon Blue Ice Cream Sandwich and the White colour which has made itself pretty prominent on KitKat. Let’s just hope that Google takes a sober approach for its UI design in its next version of Android.
