Canon Launches New PowerShot S200 In India

New point and shoot boasts several useful features

Canon India has launched the new mid-range PowerShot S200 camera (same name different camera from 2002 series) in India today which is the latest addition to its S-series cameras.

It comes with Manual and Auto to please most of the crowd and also features along with controller wheel and control ring. It’s got an Advanced DIGIC 5 imaging processor and comes WiFi inbuilt. What’s more the camera features a larger 1/1.7” sensor than most point and shoots therefore bettering its low light performance and quality. We still need to see how well Canon has implemented this.

On the software front, the Canon Image Gateway allows for instant uploading from the cameras, while smartphone users can also use the Camera Window app (available in both Apple App Store and Google Play Store) to control the camera. It boasts of a 24 -120 mm telephoto lens (5x Optical Zoom) with a low F Stop of f/2.0–f/5.9.

The S200 is available in Black and White colours for Rs 20,000.
