Lenovo Launches ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook For Rs 85,000

Sports a carbon fibre body and a 14" pixel packed screen; powered by 3rd-generation Intel CPUs.

 

Lenovo has added a new ultrabook to its ThinkPad series of laptops. Dubbed the X1 Carbon, it features the iconic pointing stick made famous by IBM. As its name suggests, the laptop is made of carbon fibre, and is built to withstand rough use to some extent.

The X1 Carbon is based on the latest (3rd-generation) Intel Core CPUs, with the i5 and i7 to choose from. It features a 14" screen with pixel dimensions of 1600x900 and anti-glare coating. In the multimedia department, it delivers Dolby Home Theater v4 sound. The detailed specs are as follows:

  • 3rd generation Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz), i5-3427U (1.80 GHz), i7-3667U (2.0 GHz).
  • 14" screen (1600x900 pixels), luminance of 300 nits.
  • Up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM.
  • Storage: 128 GB \ 256 GB SSD SATA3.
  • 720P HD webcam with face tracking, dual array microphones.
  • Wi-Fi, 3G (optional), Bluetooth 3.0.
  • USB 2.0, USB 3.0, 4-in-1 SD card reader.
