The Korean giant Samsung has unleashed the iPhone's archenemy. The company's new Galaxy S9 improves upon the already impressive S8.
 
The design is pretty much the same. You get a metal frame sandwiched between glass panels. The display size remains the same too. The Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 5.8-inch super AMOLED display which offers a resolution of 1440×2960 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus sports a 6.2-inch super AMOLED display. Both the panels have 18:9 aspect ratio.
 
 
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are powered by Samsung's own Exynos 9810 Octa (4×2.9GHz + 4×1.9GHz) octa-core chip. India will get this variant, wehere as the American model will be based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 octa-core (4×2.8GHz + 4×1.8GHz) system on chip. The S9+ will offer 6 GB RAM, while the S9 will settle for 4 GB. The phone will come in 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB internal storage options. Plus, you can throw-in storage via the microSD card slot. The S9 packs a 3000 mAh battery, the S9+ is powered by a 3500mAh cell.
 
The S9+ is targetted at the camera buffs. It offers a dual camera setup [12MP (f/1.6) + 12MP (f/2.4)] on the rear. The cameras feature Dual Pixel phase detection autofocus and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). Th killer feature is super slow-motion video recording at 960 frames per second.
 
The S9 has a single sensor 12 MP (f/1.5) camera. For better low-light performance, the Galaxy S9’s camera can switch between a regular aperture and a wide aperture depending on the lighting conditions.
 
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available starting in March 16, 2018 in select markets and will be offered in Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue and a new hue, Lilac Purple. In India, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to cost Rs 67,399 and S9+ to be priced at Rs 79,900.
