Panasonic Unveils Eluga I2 Activ In India

The smartphone comes in two variants with price starting from Rs 7,190.

 

Panasonic has today unveiled a new smartphone dubbed as the Eluga I2 Active for price starting from Rs 7,190 (1 GB RAM variant). The smartphone is also available in India in another variant as well, with a 2 GB RAM, priced at Rs 7,990.

Technically speaking, the Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ comes with a unibody metal design and features a 5 inch HD display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection. The smartphone also has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25 GHz coupled with a 16 GB ROM and either 1 GB or 2 GB RAM options.

The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It also features an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facing sensor. Apparently, the device comes with dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi support. It also comes backed by a 2,200 mAh battery.

While the smartphone has almost every feature required for an entry-level smartphone, we still feel the lack of a fingerprint sensor is definitely not attractive, as it has become quite common nowadays to see even the most basic smartphone having that feature.

Having said this, the smartphone has been currently listed on the company's official website, but we are still not sure as to when would the device be available for purchase. However, we do know that the smarpthone would be available in three different color options -- Gold, Rose Gold, and Grey.
